3 days to Nepal.

Friends, there is much important information on the internet! I was reviewing the TSA information on prohibited items today, and just want to share a few things with you all, in case you are planning to travel soon.

Corkscrews, eyelash curlers and toy transformer robots are allowed in both checked and carry-on luggage. (How did transformers get on this list, I wonder?) However, snow globes are only allowed in checked baggage.

Throwing stars, cricket bats, meat cleavers and cattle prods are only allowed in your checked luggage, so think about what you really need to bring on that next trip. Is it really more important to have your cattle prod or a swimsuit?

And remember, it is never okay to pack bleach, gasoline, dynamite or hand grenades in your carry-on or checked luggage.

Happy (and safe) travels!

  1. What to do with my combination corkscrew/eyelash curler/snow globe/transformer?

Silly me: of course! Just bring two and keep one in the checked luggage and risk the other in my carry-on. That way I’ll be good to go when I arrive at my destination.
