No, this will not be what Sophia and I do on this trek, but it will be constantly in the back of my mind. I have always loved the mountains and recently my desire to climb them has risen exponentially. It is not the notion of conquering nature or standing on the “top of the world” that excites me. It is the process and the physical and mental ordeal. One step in front of the other, climbing slowly and breathing deeply… a walking mediation.
